“Abdullah” Maksym Gerasimov is the innovative founder of Modern Acre Studio. His enduring ambition for modern architecture, which aims to serve his valued clients and enhance their everyday lives, culminated in the establishment of his own architectural practice. Having dedicated almost a decade to studying architecture in higher education and nearly another decade practicing it in the field, Abdullah has developed a unique ability to stand out in this highly competitive profession. Driven by a strong desire for results and the satisfaction of his clients, he approaches all architectural projects with enthusiasm and creativity. While modern architecture can encompass a broad array of interpretations and boasts a lengthy historical context, Abdullah perceives it as an art form that combines contemporary materials with elegant harmony, all while maintaining a purposeful layout and organized, functional spaces. Efficiency and sustainability are integral elements present in each of his thoughtful designs.

After immigrating from Ukraine and recently becoming an American citizen, he views the United States as a land of opportunity. His extensive travels around the globe have often led him to challenge conventional approaches to architecture and to question the status quo or the prevailing “we have always done it this way” mentality, passionately striving to improve architecture with each new design he undertakes. After welcoming three children and over eight years of married life, he has cultivated solid communication skills that enable his clients to better understand the range of services they are receiving, as well as their quality. His emotional intelligence and ability to empathize—understanding where someone is coming from or the specific emotions they wish to experience within various spaces—help Abdullah infuse life and vitality into his designs.
